What Is the Hotel Lobby Trend?
The Hotel Lobby trend is a viral AI video format: two people — or two cats — perform the same 15-second routine in an orange studio with one hanging silver mic. It copies the look of Quavo and Takeoff's 2022 “Hotel Lobby” live session on COLORS, then swaps in new performers with AI.
The AI Hotel Lobby trend took off in September 2026, when clips of friends, couples and cats flooded TikTok and X. You will also see it called Migos Hotel Lobby AI, or simply the Hotel Lobby video trend. Some people search for a Hotel Lobby AI filter, but a filter only pastes a face onto a still frame — the viral clips are full videos where both performers move, point and spin.
If you searched “trend hotel lobby” after seeing two cats rap at one mic, this is the one. We make the format, never the people: no Quavo, no Takeoff, no original footage or audio. Full story: what is the Hotel Lobby AI trend.
The 15-Second Hotel Lobby AI Template
We watched the most viral clips frame by frame. They all hit the same four beats at the same second — which is why the moves line up when you add the sound. Our Hotel Lobby AI template locks them in.
- 0–4 s
The point
Medium shot, slow push-in. The right performer points straight at the camera.
- 4–8 s
The explain
Closer. Open hands, face to face at the mic.
- 8–12 s
The spin
An arm across the face, a turn to show the back, then back again.
- 12–15 s
The hush
Tight shot. A finger to the lips, then they point at each other.
A generic hotel lobby video AI guesses the moves from a single prompt. This Hotel Lobby AI generator ships the routine already timed, so your Hotel Lobby character swap looks like the clips everyone knows. How we found the beats: how we built Hotel Lobby AI.
Add the Hotel Lobby Song
Every viral Hotel Lobby video is posted with the original sound. We deliver yours silent on purpose — we don't touch copyrighted audio.
- Download your silent 15-second video.
- On TikTok tap Add sound; on Instagram Reels tap Audio. Search “Hotel Lobby”.
- Start the sound from the first beat — the point, the spin and the hush land right where viewers expect them.
- Turn on the AI-generated label and post.

Where to Post Your Video
Your download is a clean 15-second MP4, ready for whichever app you use most.
TikTok
Choose 9:16, add the official sound, turn on the AI-generated label and post. Captions that work: "me and my best friend at 2am", "my cat has bars", "the group chat, but make it a duo".
Instagram Reels
The same 9:16 file works as is — there is no watermark to crop out. Tag the friend who is in it; duets with the other person in the video travel furthest.
YouTube Shorts & X
Upload the 9:16 version as a Short, or pick 16:9 if you want it to look like the original show on X, YouTube or a big screen at the party.

Hotel Lobby AI Prompts
Prefer another AI video tool? These Hotel Lobby AI prompts describe the same four-shot routine. Our Hotel Lobby generator above already contains a tested version, so you can skip the prompting.
Two people
A 15-second live studio rap performance by a duo, four shots joined by hard cuts, camera centered at chest height. Use photo 1 only for the person on the LEFT and photo 2 only for the person on the RIGHT; take only the people from those photos and ignore their backgrounds. Set in every shot: a seamless warm orange backdrop glowing in the center, a warm-yellow stage platform, one large silver vintage condenser microphone hanging at head height between them. Shot 1, 0–4 s, medium two-shot, slow push-in: the right person points forward with energy. Shot 2, 4–8 s, waist-up, nearly face to face: the right person opens both hands as if explaining. Shot 3, 8–12 s: the right person lifts a forearm across their face, spins to show their back, then turns back. Shot 4, 12–15 s, tight two-shot at the mic: the left person raises a finger to their lips, then they point at each other. Exactly two people. No captions, logos or watermarks.
Two pets
Same set and timing, performed by two pets. Use photo 1 only for the animal on the LEFT and photo 2 only for the animal on the RIGHT, keeping each one's species, face, coat and markings in every shot. Both animals stand upright on their hind legs for the whole video and use their front paws like hands. The right animal points a paw, opens both paws to explain, lifts a paw across its face and turns around, then turns back; at the end the left animal raises a paw to its mouth for the hush and they point paws at each other. No humans, no merged bodies, no extra paws.
